Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health Announces Free Volunteer Training Program for 2025.
Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health is excited to announce the launch of their next free, volunteer training program, starting on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. This program, designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence needed to support patients and their families, will run weekly on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at their offices located at 101 Boulder Drive in Plymouth, NH. The program will span five weeks, concluding on March 19, 2025, with a break on March 5.
This training offers a unique opportunity for individuals to give back to their community in a deeply meaningful way. Volunteers with Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health play a vital role in providing comfort and support to patients and families facing challenging times. Duties include offering a listening ear, providing companionship, assisting with administrative tasks, contributing to community outreach efforts, participating in fundraising activities, and delivering groceries to those in need.
“Volunteers are the heart of our organization,” said Angie Burke, Volunteer Coordinator at Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health. “Their compassion and generosity have a profound impact on the lives of our patients and their families. This training is an invitation to join a team of caring individuals dedicated to making a difference.”
In response to patient needs, Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health is actively seeking male volunteers and individuals with military backgrounds. These volunteers are especially encouraged to apply, as they help bridge connections and provide unique support to Veteran patients.
The free training program is open to individuals of all backgrounds who have a desire to serve their community. Upon completion, participants will be well-prepared to provide emotional and practical support to patients and their families, ensuring they feel cared for and connected.
