Community Support

Thank You For A Record-Breaking Auction!

June 1, 2025

Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health Auction Banner

Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health Thanks Community for a Record-Breaking 2025 Spring Auction.

Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health extends heartfelt thanks to our incredible community for making the 2025 Spring Auction a resounding success. With your unwavering support, we exceeded our fundraising goal of $26,000—an achievement that will have a direct and lasting impact on the patients and families we serve throughout the Lake Region, Central, and Northern New Hampshire.

We were deeply honored to have 28 generous local businesses come forward as sponsors, providing the foundational support needed to launch and promote this year’s event. These businesses demonstrated the true spirit of community partnership, and their leadership played a vital role in our success.

Equally inspiring were the 110 auction items donated by local businesses, artisans, and community members. From gift baskets to local experiences and handcrafted items, these donations formed the heart of our auction. Every item represented a business, a neighbor, or a friend stepping up to support high-quality, compassionate care close to home.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of bidders across the region, this year’s auction surpassed all expectations. Each bid placed was a vote of confidence in our mission and a direct contribution to the vital services we provide—from home health and hospice care to support groups and community wellness programs.

For those who placed winning bids, items are now available for pickup at our office:
101 Boulder Point Drive, Suite 3, Plymouth, NH
Pickup hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This fundraiser is more than a financial milestone; it’s a testament to the power of community. Every dollar raised strengthens our ability to provide personalized, expert care to those facing illness, recovery, or end-of-life needs—regardless of their ability to pay.

We are grateful beyond words for the businesses, individuals, and families who made this event possible. Your generosity ensures that Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health can continue to deliver the kind of care that treats people with dignity, compassion, and respect in every season of life.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for believing in the work we do together.

Thank You For Remarkable 2024 Spring Auction

June 1, 2024

Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health Expresses Heartfelt Gratitude for Remarkable Community Support of 2024 Spring Auction.

Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health extends its deepest gratitude to the incredible communities of the Lakes Region, Central and Northern New Hampshire for making the 2024 Spring Auction an unprecedented success. As our largest fundraiser of the year, this annual event has once again surpassed all expectations, thanks to the remarkable generosity and enthusiasm of our sponsors, donors, and participants.

This year, we were honored to have 25 local businesses step up as sponsors, showcasing their unwavering commitment to supporting our mission. These partnerships are vital, allowing us to continue providing compassionate care and essential services to individuals and families in need. The overwhelming support from these businesses highlights the strong community spirit and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

We are also immensely grateful for the more than 115 items donated by local businesses, which formed the heart of our auction. From unique experiences and gift certificates to handcrafted items and valuable services, the diversity and quality of the donations were truly impressive. Each contribution played a significant role in the success of the auction, drawing enthusiastic bids from attendees and driving the fundraising total to new heights.

The 2024 Spring Auction not only met but exceeded our fundraising goals, providing crucial funds that will directly support Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health’s programs and services. These funds ensure that we can continue to offer high-quality hospice care, home health services, and community health programs to those who need them most, regardless of their financial situation.

The event was a testament to the power of community and the incredible difference we can make when we come together. As we reflect on the success of the 2024 Spring Auction, we are filled with gratitude and optimism for the future. We look forward to continuing our work, supported by the generosity and kindness of our community. Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives of those we serve.

Hospice care with Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health, Plymouth, NH

“I would give your hospice team 10 stars if I could!”

They were truly amazing. We called on a Sunday, and they sent someone out that very afternoon to begin care and stayed by our side as Mom's health declined. We are especially grateful for Alexa, who went above and beyond to attend to our mom's needs and support us as caregivers. She was exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate and simply an incredible human to be around. We couldn't have done this without her and will be forever grateful for her care. We also want to acknowledge Gretchen and Dr. Saunders, who guided us through some very challenging moments and took the time to truly listen, support us and answer all of our questions. I cant' say enough about our experience with hospice. We are deeply grateful for their care, compassion and support during this time.

I did have family members that helped me through this time, but I really needed the love and care that the people at Pemi-Baker gave me. I miss them but am well and in Cardiac Rehab now. Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health Physical Therapist in the home

The Physical therapists were amazing!

The physical therapists who visited after my total knee replacement were amazing! The communication was excellent. They phoned in advance to confirm their arrival times. Each PT provider was professional, supportive, and guided me through the appropriate exercises necessary in order for me to be ready to leave my house and continue with physical therapy outside the home. I am very grateful.

“Your generosity with your time and your loving care is appreciated more than you know.”

Thank you to everyone who played a role in taking care of my mother and giving her the freedom of remaining home while suffering from dementia. Your generosity with your time and your loving care is appreciated more than you know. A special thanks goes to Macayla and Colleen, who visited her on a regular basis, and to Lauren who was helpful in connecting us with state services.

“Kind, professional, competent services every step of the way”

Our primary nurse, Fred, was outstanding, and others who filled in were wonderful and a credit to your organization. Fred, you were amazing, not only for mom but for my husband and I as well. I will forever be grateful for your support, wisdom, humor and kindness, all along the end of life journey for mom. I am so deeply thankful that circumstances conspired such that mom was able to die at home, and your role made that time as seamless as it could be made.

The Rewards of Being a Hospice Volunteer

While I was familiar with Hospice for many years, I only have been a hospice volunteer with Pemi Baker Hospice and Home Health (PBHHH) since October 2021.  When I retired, I began searching for volunteer work that would allow me to give back to my community.  A newsletter from PBHHH arrived in my email announcing training for hospice volunteers.  My family had experienced the need for hospice twice, once in Ohio and again in Florida.  The relief my family and I felt when the hospice volunteers arrived was beyond measure.  I want to bring the same kind of assistance to others.  PBHHH given me that opportunity by providing professional training with knowledgeable nurses, doctors, social workers and other health care professionals.  Their guidance has enabled me to meet the challenges of being s hospice volunteer, and I am very glad that I did it.
