Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health invites community members to attend a free educational workshop, “Wellness, Health & Happiness as We Age,” on Thursday, January 22nd from 6:00–7:00 pm at the Waterville Valley Recreation Department, Multipurpose Room, located at 11 Noon Peak Road, Waterville Valley, NH.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Kristi Saunders, Hospice Medical Director at Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health, who will explore how true health is more than the absence of illness—it also includes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The discussion will focus on aging well, maintaining balance, and finding joy and meaning at every stage of life.
Dr. Saunders and Gretchen Smith, RN, will also explain the important differences between an Advance Directive and a POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment) form. Participants will learn the advantages and benefits of each and how these tools help clearly communicate personal healthcare wishes.
An open Q & A session will follow, providing attendees the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations about aging, wellness, and living a joyful life.
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
