Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health Offers ‘Holiday Blues’ Grief and Loss Support Group to Help Community Members Cope During the Holiday Season.
As the holiday season approaches, Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health is pleased to announce the ‘Holiday Blues’ Grief and Loss Support Group, a supportive resource for those facing feelings of grief and loss during this challenging time. This six-week group will meet Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., from November 25th to December 30th, at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center. Led by Hospice Chaplain Guy Tillson, the sessions will provide a compassionate environment where participants can share their experiences and discover helpful strategies for coping with grief during the holidays.
For many, the holidays bring unique stress and emotional challenges, especially for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. This support group will cover various topics, including managing the stress of grief, tips for navigating holiday gatherings, and practical advice on what can help when grief feels overwhelming.
“Grief can feel even heavier during the holiday season, and it’s important to know you’re not alone,” says Guy Tillson, Hospice Chaplain of Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health. “The ‘Holiday Blues’ group offers a safe space for sharing and support, as well as coping tools to help you navigate these difficult weeks.”
The group will meet weekly on Tuesdays: November 25th, December 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon. Sessions will be held in the upstairs art room of the Plymouth Regional Senior Center (8 Depot Street, Plymouth), accessible by elevator. Participants needing a parking slip should plan to arrive by 10:15 AM to obtain one at the front desk. If Plymouth schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Senior Center will be closed and group will be cancelled. Please listen to WMUR for closings.
Community members interested in joining the ‘Holiday Blues’ Grief and Loss Support Group are encouraged to register with Chaplain Guy Tillson before Wednesday, November 19th, by calling 603-536-2232 or emailing info@pbhha.org.
Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health is honored to offer this resource as part of its commitment to supporting the community through every stage of the caregiving and healing journey. For more information, please visit www.pbhha.org or call 603-536-2232.
