Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health will host a FREE Diabetes Workshop on Wednesday, May 27th from 10:00–11:00am at their office located at 101 Boulder Point Drive, Plymouth, NH 03264.
Whether you’ve recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, are caring for someone who has, or simply want to better understand how healthy lifestyle choices can make a difference, this workshop is designed to educate, encourage and empower.
The one-hour session will be co-hosted by Gretchen Smith, RN, Clinical Director at Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health and retired physician, Dr. Kevin Young, MD. Together, they’ll provide practical guidance on managing Type 2 diabetes through healthy diet choices, exercise and everyday lifestyle habits — without overwhelming medical jargon or impossible expectations.
“Small changes can make a big impact,” said Smith. “We want people to leave feeling hopeful, informed and confident that there are realistic things they can do to improve their health and quality of life.”
Attendees can expect a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to ask questions during the Q&A portion of the workshop. Handouts and helpful take-home materials will also be provided.
Let’s face it — managing diabetes can sometimes feel like trying to read nutrition labels with reading glasses you can never find. This workshop aims to make the information easier to digest (pun intended!) while offering support and practical tools people can actually use.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required by Tuesday, May 26th. To reserve your spot, please call 603-536-2232.
