Pemi-Baker Hospice & Home Health will offer its next Grief and Loss Support Group beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center.
Grief can bring a wide range of emotions—sometimes sadness and emptiness, other times warmth, gratitude, and joyful memories. Often, these feelings can change unexpectedly as we adjust to the loss of someone or something significant in our lives.
During this support group, participants will have an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences with grief in a welcoming and supportive setting. One theme the group will explore is the idea of grief as both a void and a vessel: a void representing the emptiness and sadness we may feel after a loss, and a vessel holding the love, affection, and meaningful memories that remain.
Together, participants will share and explore the changing rhythms of grieving and mourning and discuss ways of navigating the sometimes unpredictable and turbulent emotions that can accompany loss. While this idea was inspired by a recent episode of the popular series Call the Midwife, the group is open to everyone and does not require affiliation with or practice of any particular faith tradition.
Sessions will be held in the upstairs art room at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center, located at 8 Depot Street in Plymouth. The room is accessible by elevator.
Participants who need a parking slip should plan to arrive by 10:15 a.m. to obtain one at the front desk.
Pre-registration is required. To register or learn more, please contact Guy Tillson, Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator, at 603-536-2232 or gtillson@pbhha.org. Please leave your email address and/or phone number so Guy can return your call, especially if you have questions or concerns.
